Man charged with 1981 murder of mother-of-two found dead in cupboard
A man has been charged with the 1981 murder of a woman who was found dead in a utility cupboard in Birmingham.

Nova Welsh, 24, a mother of two, was found at flats in Lighthorne Avenue, Ladywood, on August 18, 1981.
A post mortem revealed she died from pressure to the neck. She had been missing from the block for more than three weeks when she was discovered, it was reported at the time.

Today, police revealed Osmond Bell, aged 59 from Handsworth, had been charged with murder.
He was arrested in September, 2014, following a review of the case.
Bell was charged yesterday and was appearing before Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
