PICTURED: Men accused of threatening couple with gun and machete in city centre park

These two suspects were being sought by police today after a couple were threatened with a gun and machete at a city centre park.

One is said to have waved the blade at the couple, while the other pointed what appeared to be a handgun at them as they walked through Eastside City Park, in Birmingham.

One of the men is said to have approached the 21-year-old woman and began flirting with her. She said she was with her boyfriend, who was slightly behind her, and the men are then said to have drawn their weapons.

West Midlands Police said the victims were shaken, but managed to take mobile photos of the suspects before fleeing and calling police.
