West Brom fan hit with three-year ban over Villa match disorder
A West Bromwich Albion fan has been banned from attending football matches for three years after he was involved in disorder with police following last season's FA Cup clash with Aston Villa.
Carl Ashmore, aged 30, was involved in trouble which followed the quarter final tie at Villa Park in March 2015. He received a three-year football banning order at Sandwell Magistrates Court yesterday.
Ashmore, of Kesteven Road, Hateley Heath, West Bromwich, was involved with scuffles with police after the match.
He pleaded guilty to causing fear of unlawful violence at Birmingham Magistrates Court in October last year.
The derby was marred by trouble which occurred before, during and after the game. Seats were ripped up and thrown by Albion fans while there were two pitch invasions as the game came to a close.
