Victim of attempted bike theft sought by police
A cyclist who was targeted by two teenagers in an attempted robbery is being sought by police.
Officers are appealing for the man who left the scene of the robbery in the early hours of this morning to come forward and help them with their investigation.
At around 3.30am the man was attacked by two boys in All Saints Way, West Bromwich, who tried to steal his bike.
Officers arrived at the scene and arrested the two 17-year-olds from West Bromwich on suspicion of robbery. One of the boys was also arrested for assaulting a police officer. They both remain in police custody.
However, before they could help the attacked man, he had gone without leaving his details.
DC Mark Brown, an officer involved in the investigation, said: "I can only imagine what a terrifying experience it must have been for the victim who was attacked in the early hours of this morning and we sincerely hope he is okay.
"He holds vital information as to what happened this morning and I appeal to him to come forward and help bring his attackers to justice."
Police would like the victim of the robbery to call Mark Brown on 101 or via independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
