Daniel Walker, aged 28, and originally from Circuit Close, in Willenhall, failed to return to prison in Derbyshire following his release on a temporary licence last May.

He was convicted of violent robbery in 2006 and was given an indeterminate prison sentence. He was released from HMP Sudbury temporarily and failed to return. Walker has links to Walsall, Devon and Cornwall.

It is believed he may be in the Dawlish area but police are appealing for anyone who has contact with him or knows of his whereabouts.

Det Con Paul Fairhurst, from the force's offender management team, said: "We know Walker has family and friends in and around the West Midlands and Devon and Cornwall, and are urging anyone with any information to call me on 101."
