Mark O'Shea cried tears of relief in the dock as a jury unanimously found him not guilty of all charges, each of sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.

The jury of five men and seven women yesterday took just under an hour to deliver their verdict at the end of a five-day trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

O'Shea had said under cross-examination that the allegations made were false.

The 35-year-old, of Coles Lane, Sutton Coldfield, said he had no warning that he was to be arrested and was 'shocked and scared' when he realised what he was being accused of.

He declined to comment at the end of the hearing.
