Police have taped off the car park of the Horse & Jockey pub, in Bloxwich Road.

The attack happened at around 2.30am today.

Detective Sergeant Pete Burrington said: "The pub is on a busy main road so even though the attack took place in the early hours of the morning there's a strong chance there would still have been passing traffic or maybe people walking nearby.

"If anyone saw the attack, people running from the scene or acting suspiciously nearby I'd urge them to contact us."

Call West Midlands Police on 101.
