West Midlands drug grower is sought by police

A nationwide hunt has been launched for a cannabis grower wanted for failing to appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Dale Kelly, aged 32, pleaded guilty to cannabis production on March 4.

He was released on bail and ordered to return four weeks later for sentencing.

Unemployed Kelly failed to appear and a police operation to find him was launched. Officers have been speaking to the man's family and acquaintances as well as visiting a number of addresses in an effort to arrest him.

All police forces in the country have been notified of the warrant for his immediate arrest. Kelly, from the Hamstead area of Birmingham, was arrested at a property on Dawes Road in

West Bromwich in March last year following reports of a burglary in progress.
