Son of woman, 86, is accused of Walsall home attack
A man from the Black Country has appeared in court accused of attacking his 86-year-old mother, who remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital today.

Lilian Henderson was found with serious head injuries at her home in Stephenson Avenue, Beechdale, Walsall.
Her 61-year-old son Ian, of the same address, appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court yesterday accused of attacking her and is charged with grievous bodily harm.
Wearing a dark blue T-shirt and dark-coloured trousers, he spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on June 13.
Mrs Henderson was found at 6.40am on Wednesday.
