Sandwell Police and the council have secured the order banning Brandon Daffon from parts of Greets Green. Daffon, aged 20, who had been living in Bailey Street, will have to comply with the order until it runs out on January 2, 2015.

Under the order, Daffon is banned from entering an area bordered by Dudley Street, Carters Green, Guns Lane, Harwood Street, Wheatley Street, Wood Lane, Greets Green Road, Ryders Green Road and Phoenix Street.

He is also banned from threatening, assaulting or causing a nuisance to anyone in the neighbourhood.

Sgt Sarah Smyth, from Greets Green and Lyng neighbourhood team, said Daffon had caused "many problems" for people living in the area. "I'm really pleased that working with the council's assistance we have been able to secure this injunction," she said.

"The team have worked really hard in partnership and I'm sure the local community will see a noticeable difference by having this individual removed.

"Mr Daffon has caused many problems for local residents in the area.

"The conditions of the injunction are needed to deter him from committing further anti-social behaviour and protect local residents."

The injunction was granted at Birmingham County Court.

Borough neighbourhoods councillor Ian Jones added: "This is a big result for the local community, giving people much-needed relief from this man's anti-social activities. I am pleased to see the police and council anti-social behaviour officers working together to take action like this in the interests of local people's quality of life.

"We will continue to take firm action against anyone who causes anti-social behaviour in our communities," he added.
