Brendan Durnin, of Wolverhampton, is alleged to have orchestrated a conspiracy to supply drugs between January 2010 and May 2012.

The court heard that 440 wraps of cocaine were found in the carrier bag inside the home of Durnin's ex partner Nikki Walsh and her eldest son Kyle in Shawbury Road, Park Village.

The drugs were found during a police operation in March, together with a lockable safe containing a further 40 wraps in Stuart Whyman's bedroom, who lived next door in Shawbury Road. The three have all pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply drugs.

While Nikki and Kyle Walsh and Whyman were at a police station, officers placed a recording device in the Walsh's home.

Mr Paul Spratt, prosecuting, told Wolverhampton Crown Court the recording lasts 24 hours, taking in the day Nikki Walsh, Kyle Walsh and Stuart Whyman are released by the police.

He added:?"The recording deals with the finding of the 440 wraps and what they are going to do about that. Mr Durnin says he can find someone who will take the fall for him."

He said Kyle Walsh is also "admonished" on the recording for allowing people to come to the house.

Mr Spratt added that police had observed that the Nikki and Kyle Walsh had "expensive" cars, electronic goods and jewellery that made them appear more wealthy than their neighbours. Durnin also had a "lodge" in Wales.

He told the jury that Durnin would deny being the person who supplied the Sainsbury's bag full of cocaine.

The 49-year-old of Griffiths Drive, Ashmore Park, denies conspiracy to supply drugs. The trial continues.
