A nightclub in Dudley where a man was shot could face closure after police revealed they would be asking for its licence to be reviewed.
The victim, a 28-year-old man, was shot at Hustlers Nightclub, King Street, last month.
West Midlands Police said officers would be seeking a review of the premises licence for the venue.
The request will go before councillors sitting on Dudley Council's licencing committee later this month.
Revoking the licence is among sanctions that can be imposed on the owners of the nightclub.
Police spokeswoman Jo Hunt said: "The local neighbourhood team is looking to review the licence, it is in the early stages."
Hustlers was closed for a 24-hour period following the shooting on June 23 at around 3.48am. The victim was shot in the arm.
A 22-year-old man arrested in West Bromwich in connection with the shooting is on bail.
Detective Inspector Gary Dring from Force CID said: "We would like to re-appeal for people who were in the nightclub in the early hours of that Saturday morning to come forward."
