Skills show to attract 5,000
Worcestershire Skills Show is set to welcome 5,000 young people along with employers and education providers on March 13.
The largest skills event to ever take place in the county is being held in the Regent Centre, Chateau Impney, Droitwich Spa.
The event will be open to all young people and parents from 3.30pm until 6.30pm).
A total of 46 schools and colleges will be attending throughout the day to visit more than 100 businesses. The event will be divided into six key ‘zones’ which will group together like-minded businesses from different industry sectors including science, technology, engineering and maths, tourism and leisure, professional services and creative industries.
The Skills Show is delivered by the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Worcestershire County Council, through The Careers and Enterprise Company’s national initiative. The event is designed to highlight the many opportunities that are available for young people and support the Worcestershire LEP’s Inspiring Worcestershire campaign to encourage more local employers to support the development of their future workforce.
