Mental health in workplace event
Mental health in the workplace is the focus of an event for business leaders, managers and HR professionals taking place at the De Vere Colmore Gate in Birmingham city centre on July 26 between 9am and 10,30am.
The breakfast seminar will see Dr Philip McCrea, leading consultant in occupational mental health and chief medical officer at health and wellbeing provider BHSF, provide advice on creating a mentally healthy workplace and early intervention strategies to support employees.
Siobhan Mulrey from Irwin Mitchell solicitors will also offer legal guidance on mental health and employment law.
Dr McCrea said: “Poor mental health is both widespread and hidden from view in workplaces across Birmingham. For businesses, developing early intervention techniques is key to ensuring employee health and wellbeing, as well as avoiding a crisis point that can prove to be damaging for both the individual and business.
“Our Birmingham event will provide practical advice on coping with the onset of poor mental health in the workplace, as well as information on legal requirements and advice.”
