Voom tour comes to Birmingham
Virgin Media Business is bring its Voom Tour 2017 to The Custard Factory in Birmingham on September 28 from 12 noon to 7pm.
It includes Voom Pitch, the UK’s biggest pitching competitionm and free business advice and activities will be available on the Voom Bus.
There will be a panel discussion featuring award-winning entrepreneur and business leader Jodie Cook and Birmingham-based Voom 2016 winner Paint 360 at 1:30pm and a networking session from 4.30pm to 6.30pm
For entrepreneurs who are brave enough to pitch their business idea to a panel of expert judges for a chance to win £5,000 and attend a brunch hosted by Richard Branson, the live pitching competition will take place at 3pm.
Sir Richard Branson, Virgin Group founder, said: “The Voom Tour is coming to seek out the brilliant entrepreneurs and ideas from Birmingham, and help break down the barriers to business success. The aim is to help them put aside their fears and take the next steps on what could be the most significant journey of their business life.”
The Voom Bus arrives in Birmingham as new research from Virgin Media Business shows that over a third of Brummies (37 per cent) think they’ve had a great idea for a new business, but the majority of this group (56 pe cent) have failed to turn their business idea into reality.
