County's second festival dates

Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce has announced its latest three-day business festival, following the success of its inaugural festival in 2016.

The festival launch day on November 7 will take place at Heath House, Tean, and comprise of an inspiration day with content and topics relevant to businesses.

The day will feature headline speakers including Ulrik Garde Due, President of Living at Wedgwood and Fiskars Group.

The second day of the festival will be based at Uttoxeter Racecourse, starting at 8am and finishing at 8pm, the Business support day will offer a day of learning opportunities for businesses of all sizes including one hour workshops throughout the day which are free for delegates to attend.

The Business Update Day will take place on November 9 offering delegates an update on the City of Culture bid, a property and planning update from the Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s inward investment team and a Manufacturer’s Expo.

Chambers chief executive Sara Williams said: “Our inaugural festival was a truly exciting time for the team and we are delighted to be hosting our second festival.

“The festival gives the opportunity to bring together what is a fantastically diverse business base across Staffordshire; inspiring innovation and encouraging business growth and is a truly unique opportunity for people to share their experiences and ideas, learn from others and encourage further growth within Staffordshire.”

The 2016 festival welcomed more than 3,000 people, with over 20 per cent of these travelling from areas outside of the county.
