Negotation expert to speak at seminar

One of the UK’s most experienced hostage negotiators is to lead a free business seminar in the West Midlands.

National audit, tax and advisory firm Crowe Clark Whitehill, which has its regional office in Oldbury, has arranged for Kevin Taylor, a former senior police officer, to speak at The power of listening: how hostage negotiation skills can help your business.

Mr Taylor, the former head of the hostage negotiation unit for Greater Manchester Police, will speak on Wednesday, June 7 at the National Conference Centre, Solihull.

The session will demonstrate how to develop active listening, challenge communication methods, build client relationships, motivate teams. enhance leadership qualities and positively influence others.

Mr Taylor, a graduate from the FBI’s famous training programme, will share his real life experiences using the values of listening, influence, first impressions and trust to uncover what affects a person’s decision making and motivates listening.

The free seminar takes place in the centre, on the Coventry Road, Bickenhill, from 8.30am to 10.30am.

It will be followed by an informal networking breakfast.
