Law firm hopes for county award
Thursfields Solicitors is hoping to lift the excellence in professional services trophy at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
The winners of the Chamber’s awards will be announced at a black-tie dinner on June 15 at the Worcester Arena.
The winners will be put forward to the British Chambers of Commerce national awards.
Recent awards won by Thursfields, founded in 1877, include the law firm of the year award (five-15 partners) at the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards 2016, and trainee of the year and paralegal of the year at the Worcester Law Society Awards 2016.
Commercial director Michelle Chamberlain said: “We need a thriving professional services community to match the region’s economic plans and to attract inward investment.
“Our vision is to be known as one of the best legal firms across Worcestershire and the wider West Midlands. We have a strong reputation in the West Midlands marketplace leading to much repeat business from other professionals, such as accountancy firms.
“We also have teams of expert lawyers across corporate, commercial, commercial property, dispute resolution and employment law disciplines, and feel that our approach and experience makes us strong contenders in the Professional Services award category.”
Thursfields is a full-service law firm with around 140 staff at its headquarters office in Worcester and at other sites in Kidderminster, Stourport-on Severn, Halesowen, Sedgley, Birmingham and Solihull.
