Wolverhampton battery recycling firm Recyclus launches crowdfunding campaign
A battery recycling firm has launched a crowdfunding campaign.
Wolverhampton-based Recyclus has opened the campaign on the Crowdcube platform to support its expansion plans by purchasing additional processing equipment designed to optimise the output of the materials it recycles.
This will increase the value derived from each tonne processed Funding will also be used to support general working capital across the business.
It is currently in the ‘early access' phase of the crowdfunding campaign so no final fundraising target figure has been listed.
Recyclus specialises in recycling lithium-ion batteries, the kind typically found in portable electronics, electric vehicles and e-bikes, and also the recovery of metal resources in batteries.
It said it was aiming to strengthen the UK's domestic supply chains for critical battery materials.
