Two businesses in Wolverhampton and Staffordshire get top marks in latest food hygiene inspections

Two businesses in Wolverhampton and Staffordshire have received impressive new food hygiene ratings after the latest inspections.

New Food Standards Agency ratings have been given out to establishments across the West Midlands judging their attention to detail on cleanliness, food safety and food handling.

The ratings are designed to give potential customers an idea of the hygiene standards at food businesses across the region, with a rating of five being the best possible result.

A score of five is considered 'very good', four 'good', three 'generally satisfactory', two 'some improvement necessary', one 'major improvement necessary' and zero 'urgent improvement required'.

See below the two businesses that received good news after their recent inspections in the last few weeks.

Wolverhampton:

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

Five: Cook Stars Wolverhampton NE which was assessed on January 30 and received very good in confidence in management and food hygiene and safety and good in structural compliance

Staffordshire

Hospitals, childcare and caring premises

Five:  Staffordshire Specialist Care Centre, Eccleshall Road Stafford which was assessed on January 20 and received two goods in food hygiene and safety and one very good in structural compliance
