West Midlands Business Festival events in Dudley aim to 'position the borough as a dynamic place to do business, innovate and invest'
Dudley Council’s Dudley Business First team is hosting two flagship events at next month's West Midlands Business Festival.
The festival runs from February 2 to 13 and features a packed programme of free events to support businesses of all sizes and sectors across the region.
It will bring together businesses, entrepreneurs, industry experts and public sector partners from across Black Country and Birmingham, Coventry and Solihull. Running online or face to face, all sessions offer practical insight, networking opportunities and access to support designed to help organisations, connect, innovate and succeed.
Dudley Council’s first event ‘Connecting Dudley’s Supply Chain: Construction Sector’ takes place on Tuesday February 3, from 9am to 1pm, at the Copthorne Hotel, Brierley Hill.
It is designed specifically for Dudley borough-based construction companies, traders and suppliers who want to stay informed, get ahead of future opportunities and be part of the borough’s ongoing transformation. Attendees will be able to meet tier 1 construction companies like Speller Metcalfe and learn how to enter their supply chain.

The second event, back for its second year, is the Innovate Dudley Expo on Tuesday February 10, running from 9am to 5pm, at the Black Country Living Museum in Tipton Road, Dudley, which will shine a spotlight on innovation support, processes, AI and offer businesses a chance to interact with a peer-to-peer networking session. The event will have expert speakers, business support organisations for the region exhibiting in one space and it aims to inspire and connect local businesses to support offered by Innovate UK.
Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for economy and infrastructure at Dudley Council, said: “Dudley is open for business, and these events demonstrate our commitment to supporting local companies and attracting new investment. By focusing on supply chains and innovation, we’re addressing two unique challenges and opportunities businesses face today.
“These events are just one part of Dudley Business First’s wider economic growth ambitions and its ongoing work to position the borough as a dynamic place to do business, innovate and invest.”
The events are free of charge, but spaces are limited so people are asked to book in advance.
