'Attracting Lynn is a big coup for us,' Dudley recruitment firm boss says as industry expert is appointed to lead new ‘professional’ division
A fast-growing West Midlands recruitment agency has made a high-profile appointment to spearhead the launch of a new business within the group.
Industry expert Lynn Campbell has joined MET Recruitment to set-up and expand its ‘professional’ offer, providing new and existing clients with access to temporary and permanent candidates across professional services, HR, finance and procurement.

The move is designed to tap into the sector’s desire to move away from the larger agencies to a more personalised offer, something the Dudley and Tamworth-based business has already cornered in industrial and logistics recruitment.
“There is massive potential to bring a new professional services offering to the market, and that’s what really attracted me to this opportunity,” said Lynn, who boasts more than 30 years’ experience, including senior leadership roles, within the recruitment sector.
“Recruiting for professional services, HR and finance staff is completely unique and requires an in-depth partnership with the client, so you understand their culture and what they need from a candidate. This emphasis on relationship will be at the core of how we will shape the MET approach.”
She added: “The ambition is to build a £1m-plus professional division, supported by a dedicated team of three to four consultants by the end of the year. There’s already strong commercial expertise within the wider business, which will be critical to achieving this growth.”

MET Professional will provide access to recruitment services covering interim positions and permanent staff, tapping into an already 100-strong pool of candidates.
The offer starts with consultancy on available positions, shaping the job description and then providing initial vetting, executive search, headhunting and ongoing support once in position.
There is a similar focus on the candidate with job and interview mentoring and ‘opportunity’ hunting where mid and senior managers can use the company to seek out potential new positions for them.
Lynn went on to add: “Professional services, procurement, HR and finance will be our initial focus, but there are already plans in place to look at how we can diversify into supplying specialists in IT and sales and marketing.
“I’ll be based out of both our Black Country and Staffordshire offices, although our focus is definitely on offering a national service. There has been a lot of investment ploughed into this launch - we want to be a serious alternative for companies looking for a more personalised service, backed up by decades of recruitment experience.”
Matthew Hunter, director at MET Recruitment, said: “Attracting Lynn is a big coup for us and gives us a dedicated specialist to lead the launch and growth of our professional offer.
“Her three decades of experience in placing interim and permanent staff means she arrives with a massive contact book that we can explore. Importantly, she also shares the same customer-first principles that the company was founded on.”
MET Recruitment, which employs 23 people, enjoyed a strong 2025 with growth secured across its industrial and logistics divisions. With professional now added to the portfolio, the company is looking to increase its workforce to 30 by the end of the year.
