The newly-created role strengthens the Group’s growth leadership as adi Group enters a new period aiming to grow the business to more than twice its current size.

Paul Smith, CEO of Birmingham based engineering firm adi Group, said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Melissa Jones as our new chief growth officer (CGO). Melissa joined Kings Norton-headquartered adi Group in December and has already attended her first Group main board meeting.

“She brings 25 years of sales experience across finance, business process outsourcing and facilities management. We have created the CGO role as we embark on a new business plan which aims to grow adi Group to more than twice its current size.

“Melissa has a strong track record of creating sustainable sales strategies, building robust pipelines, improving deal conversion rates and mentoring teams to reach their full potential, and these skills will be pivotal in helping our divisional MDs achieve their objectives.”

As CGO, Melissa will work closely with managing directors and sales functions across specialist divisions to support and strengthen Group-wide growth.

Melissa joins adi Group from Linaker, where she served as sales director. Her background includes senior commercial roles across leading UK facilities management and services providers, including OCS, Mitie, and Bellrock Property & Facilities Management.

Earlier in her career, she held bid management roles at FCC Environmental Services and Capita Business Services, and spent more than a decade at Capita plc in sales and marketing leadership positions.

Her background includes end-to-end bid leadership across opportunities ranging from single-service proposals to complex deals, as well as experience in cross-selling, sales enablement and business development.

Melissa said: “I’m incredibly excited to join adi Group and build a high-performing growth engine that delivers sustainable results. My priority is to put the right strategy, messaging and commercial processes in place, supported by technology that enables trust-based, long-term customer relationships.

“We’ll bring greater consistency to how we create, qualify and convert opportunities across the Group. Most importantly, I want to promote a culture of empowerment and accountability where teams are confident to think independently and deliver outcomes that matter.”
