Motor dealer opens new Chinese electric vehicle showroom in Staffordshire
Arbury Motor Group has celebrated the opening of its third Leapmotor EV dealership in the Midlands.
Arbury Leapmotor Lichfield has opened alongside the Peugeot showroom on the group's Birmingham Road site, giving customers two new car brands to choose from with a large electric vehicle line-up.

Lichfield joins the Arbury Leapmotor locations in Bromsgrove and Walsall to bring innovative electric vehicles like Leapmotor C10, T03 and B10 to a wider area of the Midlands.
Arbury is the leading Leapmotor retailer in the region, having the most locations in the Midlands area.
Leapmotor, backed by Stellantis - the global automotive business behind Fiat, Abarth, Citroën, Vauxhall and Peugeot, aims to bring value, technology and sustainability to the UK with its EV range - which offers high-specification vehicles as standard, a four-year warranty and an eight-year battery guarantee to give customers long-term confidence as they make the switch to electric. And the brand will continue to grow in 2026 with six new models to be added by the end of the year.
Ben Archer, managing director at Arbury which already has Peugeot and Auto Select dealerships in Lichfield, said: “We’re delighted to bring Leapmotor to Lichfield. The Midlands have been quick to embrace this exciting brand, and we’re proud to now offer these ground-breaking vehicles at a third Arbury location.
“We know many local drivers are curious about going electric but want a brand – and a retailer – they can rely on. That’s where we come in. Leapmotor’s compelling mix of affordability, innovation and style combined with Arbury’s trusted customer experience will help families and commuters across the Midlands feel confident taking that step.”
He added: “For over 25 years, drivers have trusted us to deliver reliable and efficient vehicles that make everyday life easier and more enjoyable. The reaction to our Bromsgrove and Walsall sites shows us that many customers believe now is the right time to ‘take the leap’ into electric, and we can’t wait to help Lichfield drivers do the same.”
