'We are all moved by stories': West Midlands documentary-maker shares skills to help businesses create top video content for social media
An award-winning former TV documentary maker is putting her videography skills to good use to help the local business community by sharing top tips on how to create top-quality content for social media and online use.
Susan Jones, a former ITV Central producer and director, runs Redhead Business Films making corporate videos for businesses, charities and other organisations and Family Legacy Films - helping people to preserve precious memories of their loved ones by filming special moments.
Recently she’s branched out into sharing her skills with business owners to help them create stand out social content.
Susan, who has 30-years of programme-making skills experience, said: “We are all moved by stories, real life experiences and in business, case studies and testimonials.
“Working as an award-winning documentary producer/director it was my job to identify good stories and angles to keep people watching during the 30-minute broadcast. Attention spans may be shorter these days, but small businesses can reach their target audience with meaningful and engaging content. People like free advice and helpful videos, and they will always watch well produced content when they are interested in the subject and want to learn more. Which is why long form programmes and podcasts are exploding on YouTube.
