Family-run business RE Martin, which celebrates its 30th anniversary next year, has taken on extra staff to deliver the projects in the later living, education and healthcare sectors.

The most recent contract win is a £35.9 million retirement community in Sutton Coldfield, located on the former Royal Works site on Coleshill Street, that is set to open later this year.

RE Martin, based in Wolverhampton, has been appointed by Midlands-based developer Deeley Construction, which is delivering the scheme in partnership with Anchor, a not-for-profit provider of housing and care for people in later life.

RE Martin will manage the internal decoration of the entire development, comprising 137 one and two-bedroom independent living apartments, along with communal lounges and dining spaces, a hair and beauty salon and rooms for wellbeing, activity and treatment.

Over in Stoke on Trent, RE Martin has been appointed by contractor Willmott Dixon to support the delivery of University of Staffordshire’s new multi-million-pound student village on Leek Road.

The nationwide construction specialist has hired RE Martin to apply fire protection paint to The Village Hub, the timber framed four-storey building at the heart of the new village.

And in Coventry, RE Martin is again working on behalf of Deeley Construction at the new Birch View care home in Sherwood Jones Close in Radford, which will support adults living with complex needs arising from brain injuries, dementia, mental health conditions, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities.
