Property company strengthens portfolio with acquisition of industrial estate near Brierley Hill
A Birmingham-based property company has expanded its industrial footprint with the acquisition of Thorns Road Industrial Estate in the Black Country.
The fully-let 357,000 sq ft multi-unit estate, in Quarry Bank, was purchased by Hortons in an off-market deal for an undisclosed fee.

Thorns Road Industrial Estate fronts the A4036 Thorns Road dual carriageway, just south of Brierley Hill town centre in the Dudley borough and comprises multiple industrial buildings across a range of specifications.
It is currently let to two established manufacturing businesses : WHS Plastics and Sunrise Medical.
The acquisition adds to Hortons’s portfolio of more than 5.5 million sq ft of properties across the Midlands, which includes deals completed over the last two years for Sinfin Commercial Park in Derby, Hixon Airfield Industrial Estate near Stafford, Saxon Park in Corby, and Rearsby Business Park in Leicestershire.
Steve Benson, chief executive of Birmingham-based property company Hortons, said: “Thorns Road Industrial Estate perfectly aligns with our strategy of acquiring well located, high yielding industrial assets, with strong asset management potential.
"We look forward to supporting the existing occupiers and exploring opportunities to further enhance the estate.”
