The group of former employees, many of whom are now pensioners, met up at the branch's cafe today (Monday) to reminisce together about the old times and also to commiserate with current employees - some of whom will be be losing their jobs.

Among them was Janice Game, aged 71, of Park Village, who worked there for half a century and said she never thought in her wildest dreams the day would come when company chiefs called time on the Wolverhampton branch, which had been a busy store and full of shoppers in its heyday.
