Multi-million pound digital centre opens in former Bloxwich Post Office
The long-awaited Bloxwich Launchpad has opened today with all the mod cons, specialist equipment and friendly staff to support the local community.
Located in the former Post Office building on Market Place, the two-storey facility has three hybrid meeting rooms, remote working stations, and 25 laptops available for free loan.

Also available is a reprographics room and makerspace, provided by partner Urban Hax, where individuals and businesses can use 3D printers, banner roll printers, a fabric press, VR headsets, and more.

The launch pad has two high-tech computers, which are kitted out with specialist CAD tools and other software, with staff members on hand to support.

The energy-efficient building has been equipped with solar panels on the roof, EV chargers at the rear and instant boiling taps in its two kitchens.

Both floors and several workspaces have been made accessible for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility.

It has been funded though the Bloxwich Town Deal, where the government allocated £21.3 million to level up the town.

Jason Fisher, the programme and centre manager for Bloxwich Launchpad, said businesses and individuals are already making use of the facility.

He said: “People can just drop in for help with anything like turning on a computer, to coding your own AI website, and everything in between.

“The Bloxwich Launchpad is here in the heart of the town to support the local community and the local businesses.

“We want them to grow, thrive, develop, and just become everything that they can be, and that’s what we’re here to do, we’re here to help and support.”

More information about services and workshops being delivered at the launchpad can be found on the council’s website.
