Award-winning Black Country law firm welcomes six newly qualified solicitors
Award-winning regional law firm Higgs LLP has welcomed six newly qualified solicitors to the firm.
Megan Davies, Kate Woodhouse, Georgia McCutcheon and Lauren Moult qualify into their new roles this month.
Additionally, Sam Dell qualified into the firm’s corporate team in the spring, and Latoyah Thompson qualified on July 1.
Latoyah is the firm’s first apprenticeship scheme alumni to qualify via the SQE route.
Megan, Kate, Georgia and Lauren will take up roles in the firm’s family, restructuring and insolvency, contentious probate and property litigation teams respectively.
Understandably the cohort is delighted to be continuing successful legal careers with Higgs. Georgia said, “I’m incredibly proud to be qualifying at Higgs – I’m truly grateful for the unwavering support, guidance and encouragement I have received – I’m very excited to begin the next chapter of my career.”

Lauren added, “From the moment I walked through the door to start my vacation scheme in April 2022, I knew Higgs was where I wanted to build my career. The culture, people and the firm’s legacy are unmatched. I spent 11 months with the property litigation team and fell in love with it. I’m so delighted to be continuing my journey at the firm!”
Sophie Wardell, people director at Higgs, said: "Investment in our people forms the basis of all we do at Higgs. We encourage and guide them to continue learning and design their own career path. We are passionate about ensuring equality of opportunity and providing alternative and diverse routes into the profession.
“I am so pleased for our newly qualified solicitors and know that they will continue to be such an asset to our clients. I’m very much looking forward to seeing them all flourish at Higgs.
