Four new partner appointments at EY aim to strengthen business in the Midlands

EY has announced the appointment of four new partners to its Birmingham office as part of its continued investment in top talent to meet client demand and support business growth.

Ali Fitt, Callum Griffiths, John Saxton and Matt Wilcox have all been promoted to partner, reflecting the firm’s investment in areas including tax, audit, financial services and consulting.

Adrian Roberts, managing partner for EY in the Midlands, said: “The appointment of four new partners will continue to strengthen our business in the Midlands and expand the range of services we are able to offer our clients across the region.

Ali Fitt joined EY as a director in 2023, bringing over a decade of experience in the Midlands market. Specialising in the industrials and energy sectors, Ali supports clients with a wide range of indirect tax matters, including compliance and reporting, risk management and governance.

Callum Griffiths joined EY in 2020 as a senior manager in international tax and has over 13 years of experience. Callum advises large-listed companies on complex international tax matters, including global tax reform and the evolving geopolitical landscape.

John Saxton joined EY in 2014 and has over 20 years of industry experience, having worked across sectors including retail, commercial, and wealth management. John provides consulting services to a broad range of financial services clients, with a particular focus on conduct and regulatory matters within banking and capital markets.

Matt Wilcox began his journey with EY in 2012 as a graduate. Over the years, he has expanded his career across various engagements and industries within the Midlands, notably working with businesses focused on consumer products, manufacturing and technology. As an audit partner, Matt offers his clients valuable insights gained from his experience with both FTSE-listed and private businesses.

EY, which employs more than 1,200 people in Birmingham including 55 partners, has been based at 1 Colmore Square for 20 years but the office is scheduled to move in 2026 to a new prime location at Three Chamberlain Square, which is part of the Paradise Birmingham development.
