She also brings almost eight years of experience in lettings at some of the city’s largest agencies, including Connells and Davidson Estates.

Ms Duffy’s appointment follows Principle’s acquisition of the lettings and block management portfolio from Pennycuick Collins in the spring.

Joe Jobson, joint managing director at Principle, said: “We’re excited to share the next step in this evolution of our business with Jaime becoming our dedicated business development manager for lettings.

“In her new role, Jaime will spearhead the development of Principle’s lettings business strategy to drive expansion across the West Midlands market.

“She will be working closely with Lucy Roberts, our head of residential asset management, as well as myself and co-managing director Brett Williams.

“Throughout her career, Jaime has successfully progressed through the ranks from lettings negotiator to senior lettings management positions, demonstrating her commitment to excellence and knowledge of the sector.

Jaime, who was brought up and educated in the Black Country, said: “I'm excited to move into a business development role for a new challenge and to broaden my experience.

“I am looking forward to growing the lettings side of the business, implementing my knowledge and expanding my network.

“My immediate focus is to get to know the business and put a plan together to grow the lettings side and really make our mark on the West Midlands.”

Lucy Roberts, head of residential asset management at Principle Estate Management, said: “This strategic appointment reflects our commitment to growing our lettings presence across the West Midlands, building on the momentum from Principle’s recent acquisition of Pennycuick Collins' portfolio.

“Jaime brings eight years of comprehensive lettings industry experience, with a demonstrated history of working across all aspects of the real estate sector.

“We’re excited to see her put her expertise into practice, which spans negotiation, lettings and legislation, home inspections, target marketing, and HMO management, making her ideally positioned to drive growth in our lettings business.”

Ms Duffy joins a staff of more than 100 at Principle Estate Management, which has an office in Birmingham and which has experienced a 25 per cent jump in units under its management over the past six months to 25,000.
