Dudley Baby Sensory is set to open in unit 25 at Waterfront East, off Level Street, on Friday August 8.

The offering aims to help children from birth to 13 months hone their five senses and develop key skills during their crucial early days.

Terri Manuel, who has a background in performing arts, started her business during lockdown and she’s grown the Baby Sensory Dudley franchise through word of mouth.

She said: “So many mums find themselves isolated in early parenthood, my classes help the early development of the little ones as well as allowing the parents to get out and just have fun while meeting and connecting other parents. This is my dream job, and I’m so excited to be taking this next step.”

Alex Hall, asset manager for the Waterfront, said Terri’s “fantastic reputation for energetic, fun, and educational development classes has led to lengthy waitlists” so the only way to accommodate all of her clients was to open a dedicated venue.

He added: “It is wonderful to welcome a new business to Waterfront and such a different and remarkable one.

“We are all thrilled to welcome Terri and look forward to the opening as Waterfront goes from strength to strength.”

Dudley Baby Sensory will hold its grand unveiling at 11am on Friday August 8.

The sprawling Waterfront complex next to Merry Hill shopping centre, which comprises a mixture of offices and food and beverage outlets, is owned by real estate investors Parcap who say they have big plans for the site.

They recently unveiled proposals to upgrade the landmark bridge, add EV chargers and host more canal-side events to put the complex back on the map.
