Tipton home care company director 'thrilled' after 'good' rating from CQC
The director of a Tipton home care company has told of his delight at achieving a 'good' rating from the Care Quality Commission across all areas.
THC Care Limited home case business was rated ‘good’ by the CQC, the regulator of health and social care services in England, overall and for being safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led after an assessment earlier this year.

The service previously had a ‘requires improvement’ rating after its last assessment in September 2021.
Stuart Higgins, director of THC Care Limited, said the new ‘good’ rating was testament to the hard work, dedication and empathy shown by the THC Care team and a clear signal those in need of care can trust the company to deliver personalised, dependable support.
He said: “We’re thrilled to receive this rating, which reflects the respect and commitment we show every individual we support.
“We don’t just care, we listen, we adapt.”
He said THC Care, based in Bloomfield Road, Tipton, creates tailor-made care packages that are flexible, consistent and person-centred to suit everyone’s lifestyle, needs and preferences - whether it’s daily personal care, companionship, help with shopping or cleaning or overnight support.
The CQC report, published on April 8, highlighted a culture of dignity, respect and compassionate staff who take pride in the care they provide.
The report said: “People were supported with their personal care needs to enable them to live in their own homes and promote their independence. At the time of the inspection the service supported 278 people with personal care. Improvements had been made since our last inspection.”
It added: "People were positive about the quality of their care they or their relative received. All those we spoke with stated staff treated them with dignity and respect.
"People were supported by staff who knew them well and assisted them with kindness and compassion."
Mr Higgins added: “This achievement is a foundation.
“We’re growing our services so even more people across the region can access truly individualised care they can trust.”
