Over the past year, its mortgage book grew by 8.4 per cent, delivering on getting people onto the property ladder and into homes they want.

Savings balances followed a similar theme, growing by 22 per cent over the same period, maintained by an average savings rate of 3.86 per cent in contrast to the market average of 3.16 per cent.

The building society is also celebrating achieving a recorded customer Net Promoter Score of 95 - a metric that underscores a high level of satisfaction and loyalty among its members - and having been named by Great Place To Work UK as being among the UK's best workplaces for financial services and for women in 2024.

James Paterson, chief executive officer at Dudley Building Society, said: "Our performance over the past year reinforces our belief in putting people first.

“Each milestone, from our impressive lending figures to our growing savings balances, speaks to our drive to offer best possible products and customer service to both brokers and members.

“These transformative achievements reflect not only an improvement in financial products and services but also a real commitment to quality and transparency. The significant increases in both mortgage and savings balances shows how members are recognising the value their offerings provide.

“Our Net Promoter Scores and recognition as a Great Place to Work are testament to our people who drive the culture and go above and beyond for our members.

“We remain focused on driving sustainable growth, enhancing our product portfolio, and ensuring that every member benefits from our competitive offerings."

As the business continues to scale and innovate, it remains committed to having a high street presence with the recent opening of the hub in Bridgnorth confirming this.

With a strong finish to the financial year, the focus now turns to expanding market opportunities, investing in further technological enhancements and strengthening community ties across the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
