Bond Wolfe auction sales hit £70m so far in 2025
Sales figures for Bond Wolfe’s auctions so far this year have hit almost £70 million, with 400 properties finding new owners.
Hopes are high for another strong performance at the company’s next auction, on Thursday July 10.
It will include a further nine properties for Birmingham City Council.
So far this year Bond Wolfe’s auctions of surplus properties for the cash-strapped local authority have totalled £5.57 million, including houses, commercial properties and former adult education centres.
Bond Wolfe has run three livestreamed auctions so far this year - in February, March and May.
After July’s sale event a further three are planned: on September 11, October 23 and December 10.
Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said: “Our results reflect the demand for property –solid, tangible investments – in the current climate.
“More and more people are coming to see the benefits of the auction – a quick result and completion in just a month.
“It’s interesting to note that we have seen a significant increase in website page views, due to increased press coverage and from enhanced online presence on social media and search.
”The two most recent auctions each saw more than 1 million page views of auction lots on the Bond Wolfe website."
Over the three auctions a total of 400 properties were sold, out of 458 offered – a market leading percentage of 87.3 per cent - with overall sales totalling of £69.98 million.
In the lead-up to auction days, the company regularly sees around 35,000 video tours of properties and 33,000 legal packs downloaded.
Mr Bassi said: “The popularity of our auctions is reflected with the interest from thousands of keen online buyers not only from the Midlands but from across the UK and overseas."
This year’s figures build on strong results in 2024, when total sales rose by 18.2 per cent to £178,101,150 from seven auction events.
During 2024, Bond Wolfe offered 1,079 lots, a 12 per cent increase on the 2023 figure of 963.
The percentage sold also increased from an already industry-leading figure of 86 per cent to 90 per cent in 2024.
