Best ever May for Land Rover in US
Land Rover has enjoyed its best ever May sales in the United States.
There were 7,337 vehicles sold last month – up three per cent on May 2018.
Jaguar Land Rover overall sales were 9,358 – down from 9,469 a year before.
Jaguar sales fell 15 per cent to 2,021 in the month.
For the year JLR US sales are up seven per cent from 50,231 to 53,920 units, an increase of seven percent vs. 50,231.
“Jaguar Land Rover continues to achieve strong monthly sales,” said Joe Eberhardt, president and chief executive of Jaguar Land Rover North America
“Our sports utility vehicle offerings – from the premium compact E-PACE and Discovery Sport to the award winning F-PACE and Range Rover Velar – are clearly aligned with the current trends in the market place and offer our customers a variety of distinct choices," he added.
Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Velar had their best May sales month ever in the US with 1,355 and 1,013 cars sold respectively.The new Range Rover Evoque achieved 1,010 sales and the Range Rover Sport continues to be the brand’s sales leader with 1,922 sales.
The Jaguar E-PACE achieved its best US May sales month ever with 378 vehicles sold.
