Multi-million refurb underway at car dealer
Vauxhall dealership Evans Halshaw in Wolverhampton is undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment.
The nine month development project, which began last month, will be split into three key phases, which will see the dealership in Bilston Road grow considerably. It will remain open throughout the work.
The new and used car dealership, which has a 58-strong team, is currently recruiting for its sales team and will need up to six more once the refurbishment is completed. More jobs for technicians are also expected to be created.
In response to a surge in demand and change in customer needs, Evans Halshaw is making an investment of more than £2.5 million to enhance the dealership and its facilities to ensure customers receive the best service possible.
The refurbishment will see the showroom upgraded to create a new look new and used car sales department. The body shop will also be significantly upgraded.
It will almost double the used car stock held on the site.
Ben Vale, dealer principal at Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Wolverhampton, said: “Over the next nine months there will be a lot of work taking place at the dealership to ensure we continue to meet our high standards. It is a very exciting time for the dealership and this great investment will not only allow us to provide customers with a better retail experience, but we will also be able to offer more jobs than ever before to meet the high level of demand for Vauxhall cars.
“We want to assure everyone Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Wolverhampton will continue to operate as usual whilst the refurbishment is ongoing and customers can still expect the same great level of service as always.”
