Walsall's Kiddisave closes without notice
The future of a large childcare shop in Walsall looks in doubt after the store closed without notice.
Kiddisave, in Green Lane, had its shutters down yesterday, with customers fearing they would be left hundreds of pounds out of pocket.
Walsall Council's trading standards department has been notified.
Peter Cole, spokesman for Walsall Council, said: "Trading standards received a number of reports on Wednesday that Kiddisave had closed.
"Officers will be making inquiries to try and establish the trading position of the company."
The family-run company, based in Seymour House, Green Lane, has been trading since 1998.
The business grew from one shop in Walsall to become one of the largest independent nursery stores in the UK.
The company supplies a range of baby products and accessories including prams, pushchairs, nursery furniture, car seats, baby cots, baby clothing, feeding, safety equipment and toys across Europe.
No-one from Kiddisave was available for comment.
