Easy Fit is open again

A debt-ridden conservatory firm which was saved when a company bought it as it went into administration opened its doors in Walsall again today.
Easy Fit, in West Bromwich Road, was taken over by Indigo Products, based in Brickyard Road, Aldridge, in mid-December, a week after Easy Fit went into administration and left 34 staff members redundant.
Manufacturing of parts for Easy Fit, which boasted the largest conservatory showroom in Britain, will now be moved to the Aldridge firm. Chief executive officer at Indigo's parent company Tradeframe Holdings, Will Nicoll, said a review of the business was starting today. He added that some jobs may be saved.
He said: "We are just going through the whole thing, we are going to look at every role in the business and what we need. I cannot give a definitive answer."
Mr Nicoll said there was not a lot wrong with the business as it stood when his company took it over. He said the reason it was not viable to it's previous owners was that the costs were simply too high for the turnover.
Customers were today able to order conservatories, doors and windows as normal from former Easy Fit sites in West Bromwich Road, Walsall.
