A West Midlands sports bar chain which closed its doors after going into administration have re-opened while administrators negotiate a takeover bid.

Bar Sport, with venues in Walsall and Cannock, temporarily closed its doors yesterday as meetings took place with staff.

Over 100 jobs have been affected by the crisis but administrators Butcher Woods, who were called in last Friday, said the majority of staff were continuing to work under the previous management, but without director Scott Murray.

The Birmingham-based administrators are currently negotiating with several major pub retail chains who are looking at submitting a takeover bid.
