Kidderminster's longest-established carpet firm has won a major half-million pound deal to supply carpet for the new Wembley stadium.
Brintons, based in Stourport Road, is celebrating being chosen to supply its famous carpets to the world's most eagerly-awaited sporting stadium. The company fought off stiff competition to secure the deal.
And it is a double celebration for the firm which has just announced pre-tax profits of £6.6 million, securing the long-term future of many jobs.
Staff from the firm's global design team have spent the last six months working on the project which will leave a part of Kidderminster imprinted on the famous stadium for years to come.
The team secured a deal with Univers Carpets of Australia which is a subcontractor to the stadium's developers Multiplex.
A total of almost 21,000 square metres of carpet will be made from Brintons own blend of nylon and wool .
It is being laid in special colour schemes with red for the VIP and FA suites, grey for the bistros and bars, another grey colour for the concourses and executive boxes and blue for the royal box.
In 2004, the company announced losses of £10 million. But contracts such as Wembley, the new airport in Singapore and several gambling hotels and casinos in Las Vegas have helped the transformation.
Company spokesman John Bain said: "This is a major contract for the company which is very prestigious and a great honour to work on.
"Everything has been delivered on time despite many changes in the Multiplex schedule.
"We are well suited to carry out this sort of work as we have a global infrastructure.
"And if Kidderminster Harriers never reach Wembley, at least there will always be a little bit of the town's good work to see."
