West Midlands brewery launches official tribute beer to Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne
The new beer is the first release in a beer program between the licensing agent for Ozzy Osbourne and Hobsons Brewery.
A new beer paying tribute to the Prince of Darkness has been released to mark the first anniversary of his death and the celebration of his life.
Global Merchandising Services, the worldwide licensing agent for Ozzy Osbourne, has announced the launch of Patient Number 9 Golden Ale, the first release in a new officially licensed beer program developed in partnership with award-winning Hobsons Brewery.
The collectible craft beer, which has been brewed at the brewery in Cleobury Mortimer, has been launched to coincide with the inaugural Ozzy Osbourne Day, with launch events taking place at more than 125 venues and stores across the Midlands, including more than 20 in Birmingham, the legendary artist's hometown.
The launch marks another milestone in the continued expansion of Global Merchandising Services’ consumer products program for Ozzy Osbourne, bringing one of rock's most iconic brands into the premium craft beverage category.
The partnership with Hobsons Brewery combines regional heritage with authentic storytelling, creating a product that celebrates Ozzy's enduring legacy while offering fans a new way to engage with the Prince of Darkness.
Inspired by Ozzy's acclaimed album Patient Number 9, the light golden ale is carefully crafted with a balanced blend of bitterness and sweetness, complemented by subtle citrus and floral notes.
Brewed using ingredients sourced from the UK and hops from the United States, the beer reflects Ozzy's journey, from his Birmingham roots to becoming one of the world's most influential rock icons.
