'Sleep well Harvey': Wrecked car adorned with dozens of tributes to teenager killed in Bilston e-bike crash
A wrecked car in a field has become the site of tributes to the teenager
Tributes and heartfelt messages to a teenager killed in an e-bike crash have been left in an unusual place.
A car wreck on the ‘Grapes Field’ near Prouds Lane in Bilston has been covered in written tributes to the 18-year-old man, who died after a collision involving an e-bike in Bilston High Street on Thursday, May 21.

The burnt-out shell of the car, which a local resident said had been on the site for about two or three days, with debris and scorched ground around it, had been at the centre of a vigil for the man who died, named locally as Harvey.
Around 50 people attended the vigil on Thursday night (May 28) with balloons released into the air.

On the car, messages such as “Forever 18”, “Rip Ginge” and “Dae mess with my ting” were repeated.
Other messages included “Rest easy bro, fly high”, “Sleep well Harvey”, “Yet again, luv you bruv”, “LLH, we will miss you, rest easy”, “Rest east, our strawberry blonde” and “Rest in paradise, my forever best friend”.

West Midlands Police officers were called to Bilston High Street shortly before 9.40pm on May 21 after reports that a bike had struck a pelican crossing pole.
Emergency services attended the scene and one 18-year-old male was taken to hospital with serious injuries where, despite medical efforts, he later died.

A 14-year-old boy was also involved in the incident and sustained injuries which are not believed to be serious.
West Midlands Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said it was working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
