Anti-migrant hotel protesters stage demo outside Sandwell hotel
Video footage shows protesters demonstrating outside a Sandwell hotel.
Video footage, taken by the Express & Star, has shown the moment that demonstrators took to the streets near a Sandwell hotel to protest the use of hotels for migrants.
Protestors were seen waving flags and playing music as they demonstrated outside of the Ibis Hotel, on Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury, flagged by officers with West Midlands Police.
As of 2pm, the protest was described as ‘peaceful’ by both sides, with members talking between themselves, filming live videos, and making speeches.

It comes as anti-migrant hotel demonstrations continue to be held outside of hotels suspected to be in use to house migrants, with similar protests taking place at the former Victoria Hotel, near the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, and the Roman Hotel on Watling Street, Cannock.
The protest seemingly had plans to remain peaceful through the day, with demonstrators saying they were simply ‘expressing their rights’.
One protestor, who didn’t want to be named, said: “Everyone is okay today, we are all smiling and there is a good mood. We are just expressing our rights in a peaceful way.
“We are having a peaceful protest, and plans are for it to stay that way.”
West Midlands Police confirmed the protest had been peaceful after being contacted regarding buses being diverted from the area.
