Buses return to usual route after anti-migrant hotel protest in Oldbury

Buses have been diverted away from an ‘ongoing incident’ in Oldbury.

National Express West Midlands confirmed the diversion to their 126 service at around 11am this morning (June 6).

This was due to an incident on Wolverhampton Road.

The transport provider said the route was “diverting in both directions via Birchfield Lane, Titford Lane, Ashes Road and Causeway Green Road due to an ongoing incident.”

It is believed the incident was related to a anti-migrant hotel protest on the route. West Midlands Police said the protest had been peaceful.

The buses returned to its usual route at 4.08pm.
