All train lines between Wolverhampton and Bilbrook blocked due to 'incident'

All train lines between Wolverhampton and Bilbrook are currently blocked due to an “incident”.

West Midlands Railway posted on X just before 9pm that there is an incident on the rail between Wolverhampton and Bilbrook which is affecting services between these two areas.

The firm says that rail replacement has been ordered and is en route.

It adds that ticket acceptance for local buses is also being sourced.

No service will run for the remainder of the day between Shrewsbury & Wolverhampton.

National Rail says services are blocked between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury due to a “low speed derailment”.

This is also causing services to be blocked between Wolverhampton and Bilbrook.

Trains will be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
