Conservative MP visits Sedgley to rally support for election candiates

Conservative MP and former television presenter Esther McVey and Sir Phillip Davies visited Sedgley on Friday to give their support to candidates from the constituency for the May elections.

Ms McVey, the MP for Tatton and former GMTV presenter and Sir Phillip, who represented Shipley constituency as an MP visited businesses in the area as the guest of Bill Etheridge who is contesting Sedgley for the party in the May elections.

They then took part along with Dudley Council leader Patrick Harley in a question and answer session at Sedgley Conservative Club.

Bill Etheridge said: "It was great to show Sir Phillip and Esther around Sedgley and meet some potential voters - feedback was very positive and we are confident of a good result in May.

"She also met some of the local businesses such as Lime Restaurant who not only serve award winning food but are active contributors to charity and good causes in the area.

"They then met supporters and candidates for the May election and the question and answer session was lively and varied, it was a great day and a boost if we needed it for all of us for the event ahead."
