Staffordshire fire chiefs issue warning over in toy batteries after attending blaze
The public have been issued with a warning about batteries within toys after a fire in Stone.
Crews were called to a residence in The Fillybrooks, Stone at around 2.20am on Tuesday after a report of a motorhome on fire
When they arrived they found the motorhome and two sheds alight. They extinguished the fire, which is believed to have been caused when a lithium-ion battery in a toy hoverboard next to the vehicle got wet. No injuries were reported.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Incident commander, watch manager Jack Reinholds, said: “A wet lithium-ion battery is a safety hazard, as water can cause internal short-circuiting, rapid overheating, toxic gas release and fire.
"Please bear this in mind when storing devices with these batteries.
"Thankfully, on this occasion, we were able to act quickly and prevent any further spread of the fire.”
