Rail services suspended from Kidderminster due to fault
Rail replacement services have been ordered after services were suspended from Kidderminster stations due to a fault on the line.
A signal failure at Kidderminster led to the suspension of services between Stourbridge Junction and Droitwich Spa tonight (March 19).
Rail operators confirmed that replacement road transport had been arranged, with buses running between Stourbridge Junction and Worcester to assist stranded passengers.
West Midlands Railway said: "Signal failure at Kidderminster Services are suspended between Stourbridge Jct and Droitwich Spa Road transport ordered between Stourbridge Jct and Worcester stations."
It comes after a separate incident earlier in the day involving emergency services that saw trains unable to continue to Redditch and instead terminated at Longbridge, Birmingham. Shuttle buses were deployed between the two stations.
Passengers have been advised to check their journeys before travelling, as delays and cancellations are expected to continue while issues are resolved.
